PAYMENT
Full payment is required on
placing the order unless special terms have been agreed.
All prices are quoted in
British Pounds and are payable in British Pounds.
If you are not in the UK you may use the currency converter to check the current exchange rate. This will give you an approximate idea of what the shoes will cost in your own currency. However these are wholesale rates and in our experience the actual exchange rates given by the banks will be less favourable.
All bank charges are to be
paid by the customer. If you fail to do so, we will request further payment and
delay the processing of your order until this is done.
Cheque
(UK and US customers only):
UK Customers:
Make out a cheque to A. Deissler for the amount specified in British pounds. Post it together with your
order form and drawing of your foot.
US Customers:
We are happy to accept cheques made out in US Dollars. However it takes two weeks for
such cheques to clear.
Bank charges at our end are GBP 7.00 for orders under GBP 100.00, and GBP 10.00
for orders over GBP 100.00. Sadly, we have to pass this cost on to you.
Please note that the currency converter on this website is for guidance only and
always undercharges by a few percent points.
Please get in touch with us before sending off an order and we will quote you
with the correct amount due including postage and bank charges.
Postal
Orders (UK customers only):
Make postal orders out to A. Deissler and have them "crossed". Please remember to
fill in the name on the postal orders as blank ones - which can be cashed by
anyone - have been known to go "missing" at the sorting office.
Cash (UK
customers only):
You are of course welcome to pay in cash at any of the fairs we attend.
But please do NOT mail cash to us if you can avoid it. In exceptional cases this
is possible if you check with us first and send the order-form and money insured
by Special Delivery. Always send cash via Special Delivery as letters containing
cash have been known to go "missing" at the sorting office.
Paypal (UK and
international):
We prefer you to email us with your paypal details so that we can send you a
paypal-invoice for the correct amount.
Sadly we have to pass the paypal transaction fees on to you.
The fees are £1.00 for every £25.00 of order value, or part thereof.
Example:
Shoes £40.00 + postage £4.00 = order value £44.00.
Add £2.00 paypal fee. Total amount due £46.00.
If you prefer you may initiate payment
yourself. Our paypal account is

Please transfer the funds in British Pounds to ensure that
the correct amount arrives in our account.
You will still need to send us your
measurements and order form via ordinary mail. Do NOT attempt to email us scans
of your foot-measurements. The drawings get always distorted electronically and
it is either extremely time consuming or impossible for us to restore them to
their original size. Sorry, no can do, not even for you.
Credit Card:
Sorry, we are unable to accept payment by credit card, yet.
Bank
Transfer or Electronic Fund Transfer (UK and international):
We offer you this payment
option which is cheaper and less complicated than a money order. If you choose to pay by bank
transfer please place your order as usual and at the same time
contact
us so that we can exchange our
bank details. We will then process your order
as soon as the transaction with your bank
is complete and we have received your order form and measurements by ordinary mail.
Please ensure that all bank charges are being paid by you.
Money
Order, Bankers Draft (UK and international):
Please get in touch with us before sending off an order and we will quote you
with the correct amount due including postage and bank charges.
Purchase
Orders (UK Councils, Museums and large Theatres):
We do accept purchase orders from publicly funded bodies based in the UK. In addition
to the usual order-form and foot-measurements we will require an officially
signed off numbered purchase order from you. In this case payment is due within
30 days of receipt of goods and invoice. We charge an additional £10.00
administration fee for this payment option.
