	Variation of Front-laced Boot style LHB Price on request	This is a variation of boot style LHB, here shown with a single set of plain round bronze buckles. There is a choice of buckle styles available and the number of buckles is variable too. This style is also available with two buckles around the ankles and a horizontal lace around the top. The famous Cordovan leather of the middle ages. It has a 4mm (1/6 in) sole. Closes with a bifurcated front-latchet on the outer side of the foot and has heel-stiffeners. In a historic context such shoes would have been worn by the very richest of people on the most ceremonial of occasions and hence they were not expected to last for more than a few hours. Pattens
In medieval times wooden pattens would be worn almost always out of doors and even indoors. They raise your good leather shoes beyond the puddles and keep your feet warm and dry. The initial expense saves a lot of money in the long run as the soles of your leather shoes just won't wear out when protected by these. Indeed one is not properly medievally shod without these.

Adjustable nail fastening on toestrap, pewter buckle on ankle-strap and leather hinge under the joint of the foot. Usually in stock and goes with shoe styles EML, LHF, LHB, LHS, LMF and LMB. 	Wooden Patten w. leather hinge 13^th -15^th century Size 4-13 £105.00 Style-Code: PAT-SM	Same Patten as style PAT-S, with hinge, but with a much neater finish to it. 	Wooden Patten Poplar, high 13^th – 15^th century Size 4-13 Plain strap £155.00 Embroidered £225.00 Style-Code:PAT-HE	Very high patten, 4 inch (10cm) thick sole. Very light as made from poplar wood. These pattens are very high-ranking. Based on finds from London and similar to those in the painting "the Arnofini Wedding". The embroidery is done in silk and can be multicoloured, but is done to the customers requirements. 	Leather-soled Patten Hobnails optional 15^th Century Size 4-13 Plain Sole: £160.00 Style-Code: PAT-LS Hobnailed: £190.00 Style-Code: PAT-LSH	Pattens made from multiple layers of leather. These pattens are also the first piece of evidence for the re-emergence of hobnailed soles after the Romans left! In the periods in between the leather soles of the shoes were to thin to allow hobnails to be anchored in them. Colours: saddle-tan, medium-brown, mahogany, dark-brown, black
	Cork-soled Patten with embossed decoration 15^th Century Size 4-13 £170.00 Style-Code: PAT-C	Indoor Pattens made with a cork sole that is covered with goats leather all round. Fastened with a nail and decorated on the insole and straps with embossed floral patterns. Note on authenticity: The soling layer of leather is glued on in this case to keep the price down. Under historic circumstances the bottom layer could have been tunnel-stitched. And with the thread invisible it would look just like a glued-on sole. For an additional £40.00 I can stitch the sole on in regular saddle-stitching like on the cork pattens with poulaine. Colours: saddle-tan, medium-brown, mahogany, dark-brown, black. 	Cork-soled Patten with Poulaine and embossed decoration 15^th Century Size 4-13 £235.00 Style-Code: PAT-LC	Indoor Pattens made with a cork sole that is covered with goats leather all round. Fastened with a buckle and decorated on the insole and straps with embossed floral patterns. The sole on these pattens has been sewn on in a channel and the stitching is visible along the edge of the sole. Colours: saddle-tan, medium-brown, mahogany, dark-brown, black. Heel Cushions (Price GBP 5.00): These are modern leather covered latex wedges that you can wear inside your shoes. They help to prevent painful heels if you are not used to walking in flat-soled shoes. As they are loose you can order as many pairs as you like to wear with other shoes as well. In this case please specify for what shoe-size you are ordering.
